Happy second night of Hanukkah, everyone!
At the center of the Hanukkah story is the miracle of oil lasting for eight days when it should have only lasted for one. The concept of miracles reminds us of this famous Einstein quote: “There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.”
What a great quote reminding us just how powerful our perspective can be. Feeling overwhelmed by anxiety? What would happen if we shifted from resistance to curiosity? Feeling disappointed after a loss? What can this feeling teach us about what is important to us?
We ALWAYS have the power to change our perspective. And this doesn't mean suppressing or ignoring reality. It means be open and curious enough to step back and take a broader look. This way, we are more likely to stay present through our experiences and learn from what we see.
